Hermantown’s Utility Commission manages the water, sewer, and stormwater utilities, while also being responsible for making recommendations to the City Council regarding utility rates and improvements to be constructed and financed.

 

The Utility Commission is composed of Doug Kerfeld (Chairman)William Berg (Secretary/Recorder), Rob McLachlan, and Jim Samberg. City Councilor Andy Hjelle serves as the liaison. A trio of city staff members –  Paul Senst, Trish Crego, and Kevin Orme – serve as staff liaisons.

In 2024, the Utility Commission meets on the third Thursday of every odd-numbered month at 5:30 p.m. The committee’s six meetings will be held on January 18, March 21, May 17, July 18, September 20, and November 15.
