Road Closures Set for Hermantown’s Annual Grandma’s Marathon Race

Hermantown, Minn. – Grandma’s Marathon is set to host the 12th running of the St. Fennessy 4K in Hermantown on Saturday, March 15. The morning race will cause road closures in Hermantown from 9:15 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. in various locations.

The race route is an out-and-back course with runners starting and finishing at Skyline Social & Games on Stebner Road. The route travels south down Stebner Road before turning west on Arrowhead Road. The course turns around at the intersection of Arrowhead Road and Lavaque Road.

During the event, Stebner Road will be closed to traffic between Village Drive near Skyline Social & Games to West Arrowhead Road from 9:15 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. West Arrowhead Road will be closed between Stebner Road and Lavaque Road from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Motorists should plan on using detour routes to avoid these sections of Stebner Road and West Arrowhead Road. Race personnel will guide residents of Heartwood Lane in and out of the area.
