Portion of Getchell Road Set for Closure in Hermantown

The stretch between Anderson Road and Hermantown Road will be closed beginning August 18

Hermantown, Minn. – A locally-utilized stretch of Getchell Road will be closed for several days beginning Monday, August 18, while a utility installation project is completed.

The project efforts require the roadway to be fully closed to through traffic at the intersections of Anderson Road and Hermantown Road with Getchell Road, beginning in the early morning of August 18. Traffic will be best served by utilizing detours on Hermantown Road to the east and west.

Residents in this area will have access to their homes throughout the project from one end of Getchell Road or the other, but through traffic will not be possible.

Getchell Road will reopen upon the completion of the project, which is tentatively planned for Friday, August 22.

Portion of Arrowhead Road Set for Closure in Hermantown

The stretch between Stebner Road and Heartwood Lane will be closed beginning August 18

Hermantown, Minn. – A heavily-utilized stretch of Arrowhead Road will be closed for several days beginning Monday, August 18, while a utility installation project is completed.

The project efforts require the roadway to be fully closed at the intersection of Arrowhead Road and Stebner Road, beginning in the early morning of August 18. Traffic will be best served by utilizing detours on Stebner Road and Lavaque Road to either Highway 53 or Maple Grove Road.

The road will remain open for local traffic to access their homes throughout the project, including residents within and near Heartwood Lane.

Arrowhead Road will reopen upon the completion of the project, which is tentatively planned for Friday, August 22.
